Does it work with blender LTS 2.83.0, 2.83.1, 2.83.2 or 2.83.3.Does it bring us closer to export npc anims to geralt (running and jogging ) Modders plz, make miracles.Once I imported the custom normals from 2.76 to make it work without neck seams I had to unparent the LOD mesh items and scale them down to fit the skeleton, freeze all their transforms and then reparent with empty groups.None of that should really be necessary, especially parenting with empty groups.
Unless you mean the normal map seam Thats a separate issue I havent been able to resolve. How to make NPC meshes work properly I made this Geralt body mod (must remove body armor to see), but body and arms are not moving. Blender 2.8 Import Fbx Download Blender RecentlyDid you just download Blender recently I would uninstall all instances of Blender, and start fresh with the latest build. Try exporting an FBX without my fix and verify its working, then install (drop and replace really) into the Blender folder. Maybe something has changed in the latest build, Ill look at it sometime soon. Blender 2.8 Import Fbx Update For TheIll make an update for the FBX script within a couple days if I find the fix no longer works with the lastest 2.8 builds. As for the beard appearing grey, this happens when your XML does not match your mesh correctly. The path defined by the XML could be wrong, or theres an issue with the material nameorder in your mesh. The way materials work is very difficult to understand, so dont get upset about it. Ive spent a few hundred hours learning, it can be overwhelming at times. Piggybacking off this thread, Ive just downloaded 2.8 today and the export script fails with the same error message. Ill see if its possible to revert to an older build of 2.8 in the meantime. February 26 experimental build ran the script correctly, so its definitely a version issue. Ive gotta say though, Im absolutely loving this script (which Ill use with the February build for now). Its great not having to mess with the rig and materials just to make a few mesh edits.
